Provide a wide variety of professional administrative support under limited direction to leaders, colleagues, or groups in the organization. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Under limited direction, is competent in scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, ordering food/drink, and managing the visitor process. May attend meetings to assist with presenting materials or taking notes. Coordinates the end-to-end delivery of department or group events or special projects. Take notes at meetings and compress relevant information into a brief summary / action items. Under limited direction, ensures communications flow properly utilizing knowledge of business / function’s organization structure and overall Dow processes. Supports the implementation of targeted integrated communication plans as determined by leadership and teams, and which supports corporate and functional priorities and programs. Writes/edits internal communications for all channels. Assists in planning and implementing communication activities. Partners with PA expertise for more complex or external initiatives. Help drive message development and consistency across focus areas. Takes ownership in their work. Trusted with sensitive/confidential information; proven discretion required. Demonstrates good problem-solving skills. Capable of prioritizing competing requests successfully and multi-tasking. Demonstrates comfort and skill when using technology. Strong organization and time management skills. Good planning skills and ability to anticipate needed resources. Able to adapt to change. Arranges domestic and international business travel and prepares travel itinerary. Books flights, cars, makes hotel and restaurant reservations. Understands time zone and cultural differences. Schedules meetings and receives meeting notices for manager. Proactively manages conflicting meetings. Continuous improvement within work processes and systems. Acts as the technical office equipment focal point to enable daily effectiveness. Completes expense reports for self and others, and submits on behalf of leader and/or team. Advocate for Dow's safety behaviors; May act as a workgroup safety warden or contact for team, floor, etc. Participates as an active team member on entire projects and can complete projects independently. Finds ways to improve project/team efficiency. Builds appropriate rapport and effective relationships within Dow. Alerts others who are affected by his/her work when or before problems arise. Serve as a helpful and positive presence in the workplace. Demonstrated SME traits with MS Office platform, Dow Systems software and collaborations tools. Works independently with the software/IT tools. Required Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate's degree or 4+ years of relevant military experience A minimum of 4 years relevant experience Proficient in Microsoft office package A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
