WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to be a key member of Nike’s Record to Report Controlling team primarily serving as an important contributor to the monthly/quarterly/yearly month end close process, accounting support for tax and treasury strategy execution, financial reporting, and audits.



WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

IF THIS IS YOU, YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Performing quarterly Balance Sheet Analysis for corporate legal entities
  • Collaborating with and support external auditors in annual audits and quarterly reviews
  • Assisting in reviewing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to ensure compliance with Global Accounting Policies and US GAAP
  • Assisting regional and business finance colleagues as needed to ensure accurate adjustment from local GAAP to US GAAP accounting
  • Interfacing with External/Internal Auditors in planning and reviewing integrated and statutory audit requirements to ensure all financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP
  • Performing SOX Control processes and hyperinflation accounting
  • Reconciling intercompany equity and intercompany investment accounts
  • Preparing capital injection, intercompany dividend, intercompany repatriation, and tax/treasury strategy activation journal entries as well as US GAAP reporting elimination entries


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Manager, Capital Structure Accounting, this role will partner with multiple internal partners across various functions, including Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other Finance functions.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting and finance, external audit experience
  • 2+ years of SAP financial and accounting reporting systems/applications experience preferred
  • CPA or MBA preferred
