WaferTech is an integrated circuit (IC) semiconductor foundry in the United States. Our customers (other businesses) partner with WaferTech to manufacture the computer chips that the client has designed. The chips that we make end up in a wide variety of products that the average consumer relies upon in their daily lives. Cell phones, pacemakers, cars, and security are some examples of how our semiconductors are used.

Located in Camas, Washington, 30 minutes northeast of Portland, Oregon, we are backed by the technological prowess of our parent company, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), creator and world leader in the semiconductor integrated circuit foundry industry.


We currently have equipment technician openings in our CMP, Etch and Photo Equipment groups. Training will be Mon-Fri, but the ideal candidate will be able to work any shift on our compressed work week schedule (12-hour shifts). The equipment technician will perform preventative/consumable maintenance duties on semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a fast paced, manufacturing environment/clean room setting.


  • Perform consistent rebuild/clean on key parts for assigned tools
  • Work closely with equipment and process engineers to meet manufacturing goals
  • Maintain equipment logs, repair data and shift status passdowns
  • Perform consumable maintenance tasks on equipment
  • Become certified on a variety of tool types
  • Support the equipment section with other responsibilities as needed


Required Skills
  • An understanding of semiconductor equipment and systems is strongly preferred
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment
  • Strong computer skills, verbal and written communication and attention to detail


Required Experience
  • External applicants must have a 2-year degree in a related field, OR equivalent experience
