• POSITION SUMMARYEamc-Lanier Security Officers, are responsible for the following duties:Secures premises, patients and personnel, by making bi-hourly rounds of theproperty and monitoring security surveillance video. Responds to codes, securespatient meds, valuables, weapons, etc. Secures and transports cadavers to themorgue until release. Inspects all access points to prevent theft, damage andpatient elopement. Monitors all instructed equipment preforms light maintenanceduties when needed and calls-in maintenance when determined necessary. Securityofficers are required to use situational awareness and de-escalation techniquesto calm patients/visitors, and remove subjects when deemed necessary. SecurityOfficers must remain professional at all times when dealing with the public,patients and coworkers and must maintain patient privacy in all situations.Security Officers are also responsible for any duties outlined by policies ofEamc-Lanier Hospital.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  
  Minimum Experience
  • 1 year healthcare or law enforcement experience
  
  Required Registration/License/Certification
  • Completion of CPI class with 1 year of employment
  • BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
  • Valid Drivers License
