SECURITY FLOOR MANAGER

Overview :
The Security Floor Manager will assist in overseeing the Security team on a designated shift and report directly to the Security Shift Manager. Security Floor Managers will proactively supervise their Officers in the field and provide them with guidance as needed. Security Floor Managers are problem solvers with the ability to anticipate and diffuse potentially difficult situations. Security Floor Managers must be knowledgeable in department operating procedures and federal, state, and local laws. Security Floor Managers must be dynamic team leaders and rational in their approach. Security Floor Managers will always have positive energy and will maintain the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and service.
Specific Job Functions:
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Interact with guests and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate Security Officers on assigned shift. Make recommendations for disciplinary action when needed.
- Patrol the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting to the Security Shift Manager, to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and the entire facility.
- Regularly provide backup to Security Officers on assigned shift and assume their duties when necessary.
- Communicate successfully at all times with Security employees and the senior executive staff, as well as with guests and employees at all levels, Fire and Health Inspectors, law enforcement personnel, medical personnel and other outside vendors.
- Brief the Security Shift Manager and/or the Director of Security on all matters requiring their attention.
- Assist in the daily operations of the Security Department.
- Make suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, for improvements to policies, procedures, or the facility.
- Ensure a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
- Facilitate the flow of information throughout the property by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Drive company vehicles as necessary.
- Carry a company issued firearm during their designated shift.
- Ensure that employees maintain valid/active licensing for their specific job/role.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities/Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of hotel and casino Security, or law enforcement experience required.
- Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Good public speaking and the ability to cope with irrational behavior.
- Must be able to prepare, maintain records, and write reports, and respond to correspondence.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures are required.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, and at times, stressful environment.
- Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain a clean DMV record.
- Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report to the department leader and/or HR
- Must be able to carry a firearm and pass the company training and qualification requirements.
- 2 years of Supervisory/Managerial experience in hotel and casino Security, or law enforcement experience preferred
