What You'll Do

As a Seasonal Tax Manager within the Business Tax Services group, you will provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors. In this role, you will have access to outstanding resources, collaborative teammates, technical specialists, and supportive leadership to help you successfully serve our clients with excellence.

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
• Performing review of workpapers and tax returns for various corporate entities.
• Conducting research on a variety of tax issues including accounting for income taxes, FTA (periods, methods & credits), tax provisions, tax compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
• Identifying international and state tax information reporting needs and collaborating with specialists who lead those workstreams.
• Assisting with workflow management on assigned engagements, making sure workstreams are moving at the appropriate pace.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years' experience in federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research
• One of the following accreditations obtained:
  • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
  • If not CPA eligible:
    • Licensed attorney
    • Enrolled Agent
• Previous employment with Deloitte Tax
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field
• Ability to travel 5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred

• Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
• Strong understanding with accounting for income taxes in accordance to ASC740
• Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
