Position Summary
Primarily responsible for assay/method development and testing research samples generated by Process Development and Production team. Also responsible for conducting lab experiments and data management to complete the project tasks
Essential Functions

Develops, optimize, and validate analytical assays for a variety of vaccine candidates.
Troubleshoots issues related to the process and product development.
Works cross-functionally with other teams for assay optimization.
Designs experiment, analyzes results, optimizes sample processing and quantification methods.
Provides technical strategies for identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing the selection of appropriate technologies.
Supports the process development team with sample testing, and troubleshooting.
Handles multiple projects and deliver results to team in a timely manner.
Guides/trains junior level associates.
Minimum Education, Experience and Skills
Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline required and Ph.D. degree is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' assay/method development experience with a M.S degree or 1 years’ experience with Ph.D. degree.
Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
Experience in analytical methods including LC-MS/MS, RP-HPLC, Ion exchange HPLC, capillary gel electrophoresis required.
Immunoassay method development (ELISA/Gyrolab/HCP) and TCID50 experience
strongly preferred.
Molecular biology (qPCR, RT-PCR) preferred.
Proteomics knowledge, sequencing experience is a plus.
Protein characterization experience is a plus.
Open-minded and detail oriented.
Strong trouble shooting and data analysis skills.
Team member with the desire to include ideas and information from other team members in a timely manner to draw scientific conclusions.
Hands-on experience with state-of the-art methods and instrumentation to support method development.
Excellent organizational skills, proven collaboration skills, learning agility, conceptual and strategic thinking, and passion for results.
Quality management system experie nce is a plus.
Good writing and communication skills.
