Overview: ORAU has a contingent job opportunity for a Scientific Program Manager in support of the overall functions of the Workforce Operations, Communications, and Reporting Branch (WOCRB) and the Office of the Director (OD), Division of AIDS (DAIDS), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), located in Rockville, MD. The positions are contingent on award of an upcoming contract with NIAID Professional, Scientific and Technical Support Services. Salary for positions will be determined based on education and experience. Relocation support is not available for this position.

  • Attend a variety of scientific meetings/workshops and prepare meeting summaries. These may vary in length and complexity.
  • Edit, rewrite, and/or proofread scientific manuscripts for publication, working closely with authors to ensure appropriateness of content, format, and style.
  • Provide PowerPoint support to create and update staff presentations
  • Generate reference lists for publications with accurate content and format.
  • Assist staff with verification of publications attributed to funding sources when requested.
  • Write original reports summarizing newly released research findings from international and national scientific meetings for internal use.
Qualifications:
  • All support positions required a minimum of a BS degree; some require a MS, MD, or Ph.D.
  • The education, skills and relevant years of experience required for each support position are consistent with those identified as the minimum requirements for the labor categories specified in the contract.
