Job Description


Dungarvin is searching for an energetic, detailed Scheduling Manager to join our Ohio team! The Scheduling Manager is responsible for scheduling DSPs and SSCs for assigned Program Directors. This includes creating schedules, contacting employees about their schedule, answering questions from employees regarding their schedules and managing shift changes. This position supervises all substitute DSP positions. This position will interact with payroll as necessary about timecards.

Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain schedules by filling open shifts, coordinating schedules to increase or decrease the amount of staffing as necessary.
  • Based on hours allocated for each location, work with the Program Director to develop a plan for coverage.
  • Coordinate employee schedules, including short notice changes due to illness, turnover, etc. to ensure locations are appropriately staffed with properly trained staff.
  • Communicate regularly with staff regarding staff assignments.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the recruiter in order to communicate staff openings.
  • Review and edit employee timecards and billing audit reports.
  • Review changes in Kronos daily - Reconcile timecard exceptions such as missed punches, late punches, early punches, etc. in accordance with Dungarvin policy.
  • Work closely with the payroll department each pay period to ensure any timecard issues are resolved timely, in accordance with payroll deadlines.

  • Create reports of approved schedules for completeness to ensure locations are properly staffed.
  • Supervise DSP Substitute employees

Our Scheduling Manager needs to have great customer service and communication. Must be able to communicate schedule changes, staffing circumstances to DSPs, SSCs, Program Directors, and Area Directors!


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience coordinating employee schedules
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or other relevant health care/long term care setting
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of years of experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills to work in multiple systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Kronos, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills to set priorities and meet timelines.
  • Ability to accurately process information with confidence, flexibility, initiative, and self-directedness.
  • Ability to maturely deal with unexpected demands and incidents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Supervisory experience preferred
