Summary:
Assists the Master Scheduler to plan and establish production schedules to meet custom and stock demand. Develops schedules in accordance with manufacturing capacity, customer due dates, and supply chain direction. Has responsibility to analyze operation plans that balance manufacturing efficiency against customer service levels. Influences and coordinates activities of cross functional personnel engaged in the above activities through the use of planning software and solid business judgement. Scheduler is expected to work and interact daily with cross functional leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the work center schedule(s). Works in conjunction with supply chain and manufacturing teams. Continuously improves schedule to incorporate best practices and adjust accordingly to an ever-changing marketplace. Calculate production lead times and practical promise dates.
- Assist Master Scheduler to establish load profiles to graphically compare each work center's available capacity to the load established by the planned and released orders for each time period of the plan. Resolve work center load and available capacity.
- Interpret material demand and manufacturing plans and capacity, some sales/usage history and forecasts to create, organize, adjust and control the ERP/MRP master schedule and monthly operations plans, including weekly allotment on daily job releases and adjustments.
- Ability to inquire and understand market demands as directed by cross functional teams and implement strategies that meet demand/capability of customers and internal resources.
- Communicate with Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Finance to meet business goals.
- Actively participate in daily production meeting, manage schedule compliance to expedited and new job milestones. Update and distribute daily comparison reports.
- Assist MFG. Engineering in the development of process productivity standards. Assist in the development and implementation of KPI's for efficiency, utilization, and productivity. Identify and reduce waste in all areas of the NAI supply chain.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Technical preferred.
- Three to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with an ERP system.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and scheduling in extrusion, assembly or molding desirable
- APICS and or Lean Manufacturing certification desirable

Technical Skills and Attributes:
- Computer literacy in an ERP environment required (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Strong MS Excel Knowledge required)
- Experience with production scheduling software a plus.
