POSITION SUMMARY
Emerge Education has an immediate opening on our growing team for a Salesforce Technical Architect supporting our partner higher education institutions and our internal leadership, marketing, recruitment, and student success teams under the general direction of the Director of Business Systems. The Salesforce Technical Architect must have practical experience in the support and administration of various infrastructure technology services and software.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Work with Director of Business Systems to identify, define, interpret and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes
- Continually evaluate the design of existing systems to judge their functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability and cost of ownership
- Serve as a system administrator for our Salesforce environment
- Work independently with members of our use community to define and document development requirements
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
- Work with Director of Business Systems to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions related to Salesforce, our CRM
- Understand and implement platform integrations with systems needed to enhance our Salesforce instance
- Assist the IT team with troubleshooting daily technical issues and other day-to-day tasks
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and its relevance to student recruitment activities
- Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, weekends, evenings to accommodate student, departmental and company needs
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Salesforce as an administrator
- Experience with HTML code, form development
- Experience with Sales Cloud Lightning Console, Case Management
- Experience working in complex Salesforce.com implementations
- Experience with Apex object-oriented programming
- Experience working in a business process team and coordinating process efforts
- Experience in the development, implementation, and management of MailChimp campaigns
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to concentrate and use independent reasoning and good judgment
- Ability to establish and achieve priorities in the work environment
- Ability to recognize and comply with appropriate task deadlines
- Well-organized and detail-oriented

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years of systems experience in a higher education setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of systems experience in a higher education setting
