Business Technology System Lead
Locations: Quincy, IL, Davidson, NC, remote

Job Summary:
Ingersoll Rand has an opportunity for an experienced Business Technology System Lead which will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our existing Salesforce.com implementation. This position will be deeply involved in working with and supporting business users of SFDC to maintain system integrity as well as develop new functions and processes to improve business efficiency and capability. Experience with the Salesforce platform is vital for success in this role. The ideal candidate will possess a high aptitude for working with technology and business applications along with a high capacity to learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work across multiple business functions to identify, document, and implement streamlined business processes to improve efficiency within the Salesforce.com platform.
  • Perform customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, approval processes and workflow and validation rules to serve company needs.
  • Manage users access request, new user creation and enforce data governance with roles, profiles and sharing models
  • Work with sales and service leadership to design reports and dashboards to visualize key business metrics.
  • Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner and provide internal support when needed.
  • Create and/or maintain documentation on processes, policies, and help-related materials for all users; provide internal training.
  • Proactively gather user enhancement requests and coordinate scheduled system enhancement releases.
  • Work to develop an understanding of Ingersoll Rand products and business processes in order to make recommendations for improvements to ensure efficient flow of critical business transactions.
  • “Own” the system and look for opportunities to improve efficiency. Drive process changes and support them with system changes.
  • This position report to: Business Technology Manager
  • May be exposed to working across regional and divisional lines with other internal Salesforce.com administrators
  • Will be required to interface and communicate effectively within many levels of the organization as well as customers/distributors
  • Will work closely with outside consulting services when project work requires

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Salesforce.com platform
  • Salesforce.com certifications are preferred
  • Experience working with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities, Salesforce CPQ, Field Service Lightning and other core Salesforce clouds a plus
  • Experience working with and/or maintaining enterprise-level business applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology-driven field, preferred but not required with applicable experience/knowledge base
  • Understanding of computer programming logic structures and complex data structures a plus
  • Detail oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Must be achievement-oriented and willing to put forth a high level of effort to produce results in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment that is dynamic and evolving
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong problem solving skills, data and software applications
  • Able to plan, organize, and budget
  • Able to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
