Sales Representative (#011332)Support & Services Industries, Columbia (RICHLAND)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Under limited supervision from the business development manager,

• Serves as a member of the sales team for the SCDC Division of Industries.
• Responsible for marketing, promoting & profitably selling products & services to existing and potential customers.
• Establish long term, trusted relationships with targeted customers leading to ongoing sales activity for all Industries' product lines.
• Maintain positive business relations to ensure future sales by contacting existing customers on a monthly basis.
• Properly assess and resolve customer issues rapidly, providing product and/or service solutions.
• Process orders, quotes, drawings and supporting documents, correctly and in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of current products & services.
• Assist with deliveries and/or installation, if needed.
• Conduct trade shows, promotional events and association meetings to increase awareness of Industries' products & services and make productive contact with existing customers.
• Generate weekly sales reports

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree.
• Three (3) years sales and/or marketing experience;

OR

• An Associate's degree.
• Five (5) years of sales and/or marketing experience;

OR

• A High School diploma.
• Seven (7) years of sales and/or marketing experience.
