Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Director of Talent Development, the Sales Instructor will ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales force by developing and implementing learning solutions. The Sales Training program is founded on executing customer service excellence. This role will be responsible for training new hire ICG sales employees on mortgage fundamentals, core sales skills, ICG systems and sales process with the delivery of targeted, technical learning solutions that include a mix of instructor-led, workshops, coaching frameworks, seminars, webinars, online courses, online tutorials, job aids, videos, games, simulations, informal learning and other creative solutions. The Sales Instructor will collaborate with Sales Leadership, Talent Development team members and other departments to develop new learning content and enhance existing content.
Responsibilities include ensuring new hires:
- Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of systems and processes
- Ability to pass SAFE Act federal exam
- Ability to pass State licensing exams
- Complete and pass Mortgage 101 curriculum
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Essential Duties include:
- Facilitate highly engaging, scenario driven learning experiences that provide a framework for the knowledge and behaviors required for success within Mortgage via classroom and remote learning solutions
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Compliance and HR
- Engage with subject-matter-experts and other internal resources to design, create, and execute learning solutions.
- Design and deliver assessments aligned with learning objectives, link assessment results to measures of competence and business outcomes and report the results.
- Create standardized training materials, and measurement tools
- Work to maintain overall departmental goals and service levels
- Partner with corporate Talent Development teams to implement and support broader learning programs and solutions.
Qualifications:
Education/Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienced required. 3+ years' experience in mortgage banking/financial services industry.
- Mortgage Sales Training experience preferred
Core Skills/Knowledge:
- Adult Learning Theory
- Strong verbal/written communication skills; formal presentation and listening skills
- Experience in facilitating classroom and remote learning solutions
- Knowledge of lead generation strategies
- Creative thinking, interpretation, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Strong sales skills techniques
- Project management skills preferred
- Ability to stay current on training content and curriculum trends
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams
- WebEx or other online training experience required
- LMS knowledge a plus
- Experience with Encompass preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit/stand at a desk and work at a computer for extended periods of time
Travel:
- Travel to corporate office/meetings as needed < 10%
