We have an exciting opportunity here at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation! We are seeking qualified individuals to enhance the visitor experience by delivering excellent guest service. The ideal candidates will have the ability to appreciate product merchandise, communicate key selling features to guests, provide a warm and friendly environment and remain calm in busy situations
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous retail or similar customer-facing experience is required.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Experience in busy specialty retail store or other customer-service oriented setting.

  • Experience using computerized point-of-sale system.

Preferred Qualifications
Special Requirements This part-time position requires working at both Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Museum shops are open 363 days a year, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasionally, the sales associates may be needed on site later or earlier for special events or other retail operations functions. Holiday and weekend work is required. We are looking for candidates with flexible availability to match the increased needs of the museum in spring.
