Moody's Nursery is a family owned garden center and landscaping business in Saco, Maine. Moody's is looking for a motivated sales associate to assist with a variety of tasks varying from cashier duties to yard work.

*Customer service experience preferred but not required*

This position requires someone who is capable and finds enjoyment in wearing many hats. Customer service skills both in person and over the phone are required. Duties range from answering the phone and cashing out customers, to moving and watering plants.

This position has great potential for self starters who want to learn about running a small business and the horticulture field. Great opportunity for growth!

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Care for indoor & outdoor plants, including shrubs and trees.
• Customer service and the ability to lift 50 lb.
• Watering, up potting/repotting, moving, cleaning & weeding plants. Setting up displays of on sale plant material and products.
• Yard care:
• Seasonal pruning, pricing, and watering all plant material
• Inventory keeping and organizing, sweeping/cleaning and tending to landscape mats
• Shop care:
• Answering phone calls and voicemails, taking messages, and returning calls
• Operating cash register, issuing discount cards gift certificates, and delivery orders
• Customer service both in person and by phone, including answering customer questions with in house experts
• General shop upkeep: dusting, sweeping, stocking, creative displays with inventory

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
