Responsible for negotiating profitable contracts on behalf of the Dream Inn. Execute a detailed market specific game plan to include: phone solicitation, outside sales calls, trade show attendance, site visits, client entertainment, FAM trips and direct mail. Management and direction of your respective Sales Coordinator to include workload prioritization and efficiency training.
Functions:
- Telephone solicitation of accounts in your market.
- Outside sales calls monthly to your market.
- Represent hotel at pertinent trade shows.
- Host targeted meeting planners for on-site FAM trips.
- Service in-house group plans to build rapport for increased future business.
- Coordinate and prioritize the work of your Assistant and be responsible for their development and improvement.
- Process accurate and timely information throughout the hotel as it pertains to your accounts.
Minimum Education
- High school diploma and commercial/vocational/technical training.
- Preferred: undergraduate degree or professional certification.
Minimum Experience
- 2-3 years in sales or related field within hospitality industry or comparable employment.
Skills required
- Verbal communication.
- Good business writing skills.
- Use of a PC based sales system.
- Ability to make a group presentation.
- Ability to gain confidence and build support with customers.
- Accurate detailed-oriented on follow-through and documentation.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Can train and direct administrative assistant.
- Strong negotiating skills and the ability to hold and defend a position.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
