ECRI Certified Healthcare Environmental Manager BCHCM Certified Healthcare Safety Professional Drivers License from Florida Additional Qualifications: Must have either CHSP or CHEM Certification. Minimum of 4 years of experience with a good understanding of environmental health & safety and emergency management in healthcare setting. Practical problem-solving and thorough knowledge of emergency management and environmental health & safety is expected. Great communication, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize. Good understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, OSHA, and EPA regulations related to healthcare setting. The Safety Specialist manages the safety and emergency preparedness programs in accordance to local, State and Federal regulations. In addition, manages other safety and environmental compliance concerns within the Joint Commission EOC, LS and EM programs. Reports directly to the director. Responsible for understanding the threats and vulnerabilities within our community and hospital that may negatively impact operations or pose a risk to staff, patients, or the community. The incumbent will also be available on-call to respond to any unforeseen emergency at the hospital.Qualifications:
