POSITION SUMMARY:
Energy management and solar contractor with award-winning 10-year reputation for excellence in search of an experienced rooftop solar power installer with strong roofing skills. Responsibilities include installation of new solar energy systems, layout of solar arrays, moving and hauling material. Position is salary plus annual bonus. Solar experience is helpful but not required. Training is provided. Strong troubleshooting ability, electrical/mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, a highly organized manner, and prior experience in roofing or carpentry are required. Typical income with salary and bonuses is $50k+ per year.

Requirements

• Prior construction or skilled labor experience
• Roofing, Electrical, Solar, HVAC, and/or Plumbing background
• Highly organized and very attentive to detail
• Well-spoken, clean appearance and good client manners
• Clean driving record, valid license and ability to drive small and large company vehicles
• Drug free
• Hand tools and basic power tools
• Ability to work 40-50 daytime hours per week
• Willingness and ability to learn product value and explain to clients
• ability to climb ladders, work at heights
• ability to work out doors in all weather and temperatures.
• ability to lift and carry up to 60 lb

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Electrical/Roofing/Solar/Engineering training or education
• Solar/NABCEP/electrical certification
• OSHA 10 hour or other safety certification
• Field service software familiarity

Benefits

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Salary starts at $20-30 /hr based on qualifications, plus monthly bonus of up to $1500 based on sales. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and matching 401K program.
Earned paid time off starts at two weeks annually.
