RN / Registered Nurse - Quality Analyst - Full Time - Days Details

The Quality Analyst provides oversight for evidence based care for patient populations across the continuum of care; promotes and assumes a leadership role with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outomes through Quality tools such as clinical protocols and the analysis of variance. This position performs concurrent review of open records for specific patient populations so that compliance with quality indicators (Core Measures) is achieved and maintained during the course of patient care.


Data collection, record abstraction and submission of hospital level data to CMS, the Joint Commission, BC/BS, and other Quality Networks for purposes of comparison, identifying trends and improving performance are essential functions of the Quality Analyst.


The Quality Analyst:

  • Coordinates and completes performance improvement reviews; assembles aggregates and summarizes data for reports.
  • Collaborates with Medical Records, Nursing and Medical Staff to improve documentation including care related to Core measures and conditions present on admission.


EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION LICENSURE
:

Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other health related field is preferred.


SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Organizational skills; self-directed and motivated. Good interpersonal skills with people, working knowledge of health care reimbursement systems and of community resources for continuing care needs; flexibility in work patterns and availability; ability to interpret and display data, identify implications and take action. Computer skills required. The ability to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and facilitate patient care support functions provided to neonatal, ,adolescent, adult and geriatric patients is required

Office and clinical setting, exposure to communicable disease.
