RN Registered Nurse
Department: Progressive Care
Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift. 6:30am-7pm. 3, 12-hour shifts. 36 hours per week.
Location: Ascension St. John Medical Center, Tulsa

Progressive Care is a 23-bed unit caring for patients who are not ill enough for the ICU but still require an elevated level of skilled nursing care. In this area, you will learn various disease processes and expand your knowledge to a lot of different procedures. This unit is fast paced, highly collaborative, and welcomes new grads or seasoned nurses! If you are looking for a place to support you as you grow in your career, this is the place for you!

What You Will Do: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

• None required.
