Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs A $20,000.00 sign on bonus is currently being offered for this position for a twenty four (24) month commitment of full time employment. LAMC is currently offering a monthly rental incentive for up to six months for this nursing position for a newly hired applicant who makes the decision to move to Los Alamos and reside in the community. Requires current NM RN licensure or appropriate compact licensure. Requires Associate's degree. Bachelor's degree preferred. OB Department Registered Nurses are required to obtain AWHONN, STABLE and ACLS, in addition to the BLS and NRP certifications required for their position. New Hires must have current BLS upon hire, are required to obtain NRP within ninety (90) days from hire, and will be required to obtain AWHONN, STABLE and ACLS within six (6) months from hire. New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this ‘grace period’ for obtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certifications that are required for their position as outlined in the position job description.
