General Summary The Rivstud Operator is responsible for producing a quality part that exceeds the customers’ expectations through the utilization of tools and equipment provided. The Rivstud Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set-up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on their assigned machines. They will also be responsible for inspecting parts to print and making adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain the integrity of the part. Core Functions - Set up and operate machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines - Read and interpret blueprints - Ability to effectively read/interpret calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and go/no-go gauges - Ability to work in a fast paced work environment - Ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices - Problem solving & continuous improvement - Ability to safely operate a powered industrial vehicle - Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops Details of Function - Setting up a properly and functioning secondary operation machine - All necessary paperwork - Checking daily work schedules, router sheets and material availability - All necessary quality checks - Assisting Engineering and Maintenance in problem solving - Basic safety, PPE and machine safety - Daily disposition of finished product which may require lifting up to 25 pounds - Operation of the forklift as needed as well as the required daily checks - General housekeeping duties - Continuous improvement within the plant - Reviewing work instructions if absent from work for more than three (3) months - Performing any other duties as required by the Supervisor to promote production efficiencies - Understand and follow the Böllhoff culture which is described in various Böllhoff internal brochures and presentations. Identify and set an example of the Böllhoff Guiding Principles including Our Values, Our Success and Our Culture Reporting Reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor in Kendallville, IN Qualifications A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred and a high school diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical and problem-solving skills. A valid driver’s license and a formal background check and drug screen will be required. Exceptional attendance expected.
