Job Summary

The Retail Manager for Bon Appétit Management Company is responsible for the overall success of Retail locations on campus. This means adhering to the Client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and Bon Appetít’s standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation. This position oversees the daily administrative, operational, including financial management and analysis, sanitation and safety. This position also motivates trains, develops and directs retail supervisors and all employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, and maintains a working relationship with the Client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all restaurant operations to offer a world-class fast casual culinary experience. Ensure concept vision and Bon Appétit standards are executed consistently. Demonstrate that employees are the highest priority, maintain a positive work environment and develop the next generation of restaurant leaders. Take ownership of the restaurant; ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of restaurant management experience and 5+ years of restaurant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of upscale or fine dining service and sales skills
  • Ability to supervise, train and motivate multiple levels of employees
  • Ability to consistently and fairly evaluate employee performance
  • Extensive knowledge of food industry, restaurants and competitive markets
  • Extensive knowledge of revenue management.
  • Comfortable with using technology to streamline daily administrative tasks
