RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR | FOOD & DRINK ENTHUSIAST


Position Summary:

Responsible for supervising and managing the daily operations and staff of the restaurant.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors food and beverage presentations
  • Ensure all guests are greeted
  • Personally respond to all guest complaints
  • Training all staff for job competence and ensuring that all staff is aware of restaurant and hotel policies and procedures including service standard for restaurant and guest service standards for the brand and/or hotel
  • Deal with staff queries and problems
  • Report all restaurant complaints and communicate day to day matters to Restaurant Manager
  • Achieve and maintain budgeted covers
  • Closely monitor guest dining experiences
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenue
  • Maintain cleanliness standards
  • Coordinate opening and closing procedures
  • Schedule staff according to budget and forecast
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and assessing in-house promotions
  • Responsible for requisitioning food items from kitchen for daily use such as butter, milk, desserts, etc.
  • Responsible for training, supervising and monitoring food sanitation and safety procedures in the dining room and service areas
  • Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of restaurant area before, during and after meal periods
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the hotel, including but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook
  • POS duties - to include charging promos/comps, reporting etc.
  • Must have flexible availability and able to work any shift to ensure smooth operation of food and beverage outlets.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in supervisory food service position

Skills and Abilities:

  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Be a certified food service handler

Short Term Goals:

  • Help improve our GSS scores to 90% or better for year end
  • Help reach our goal of 90% or better for year end
  • Be able to motivate our restaurant staff
