This position is responsible for providing quality Respiratory Care for patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Employees may be required to cover shifts at any of the Cone Health acute care hospitals. Employees will have access to pharmaceuticals on all campuses.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Associates, Respiratory Therapy, Required
Required: Graduation from a 2-year school for Respiratory Therapy.
Educational requirements must be confirmed for all Respiratory Care Practitioners.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in an acute care setting or completed acute care clinical rotations required.
Moses Cone, Wesley Long, High Point MedCenter, Women's & Children's Center and Annie Penn Employees:
Experience in managing critical care patients preferred.
Alamance Regional Medical Employees:
Special care nursery experience preferred.
6 months of critical care experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
National Credentials (All Employees):
As of July 1, 2017, all new employees hired must be credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a RRT.
Credentials awarded by the NBRC on or after July 1, 2002 are valid for a period of five years and are subject to the continuing competency program requirements.
NC State Licensure (All Employees)
Licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) as a RRT.
Regulatory
All Women?s & Children?s Center Employees (Additional Requirements):
New employees are required to obtain Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential from the NBRC within one year of hire date or transfer date.
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Moses Cone, Wesley Long, High Point MedCenter, Alamance Regional Medical Center, Annie Penn Employees:
ACLS and PALS certification required upon hire and must remain current.
Women?s & Children?s Center employees must have ACLS upon hire and must remain current. In addition, new hires are required to complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.
