GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION:
Under general supervision, performs and/or supervises delivery of health services for all residents; directs and manages staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents.

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise the resident care team of the community that includes the following positions:
- Medication Tech
- Resident care assistant
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Know and understand the vision, purpose, values and goals of Anthem Memory Care.
- Will provide Medication Tech/Lead support in supervision and direction of Resident Care Assistance.
- Will provide Clinical Services Director input and will follow/or appointed designee to follow the directives for medical care needs (medications/treatments)
- Assist Clinical Services Director in providing orientation to new employees; including care skills demonstration and evaluate for skill competency prior to care staff giving care.
- Assist the Clinical Services Director in providing annual review with all care staff of demonstration of their skills and evaluate for skill competency. Maintain all skill competency records for all care givers.
- Assist Clinical Services Director with providing annual medication review and competency skills with all Medication Services Technicians. Maintain all skill competency records for all Medication Services Technician;
- Assist the Clinical Services Director in providing in-service training for resident assistants/Medication Services Technician on a routine basis and one-to-one training as needed
- Maintain all education records for care staff;
- Creates and maintains resident care communication system to ensure quality care on each shift
- Monitors resident apartments, dining room, living room, attendant station, bathing rooms and medication rooms ensuring they are clean and orderly
- Monitors supplies on hand, including linens and towels and orders as necessary. Maintain records and central supplies. Monitor incontinence program and orders supplies as necessary.
- Supervises resident meals and monitors for appropriate diets
- Performs duties as manager on duty on a rotating basis
- Performs other related essential duties as required.
- Responsible for working shifts as needed for care giving or Medication Services Technician to prevent any overtime.
- Protect confidential information of team members, residents and vendors
- Assist Clinical Services Director with maintaining Paylocity system, and scheduling.
- Assures that social model of assisted living is in operation;
- Assists with family contact when a resident care issue is involved and provides information about residents conditions per Clinical Services Directors supervision.
- Provides input about resident’s condition to the Clinical Services Director;
- Participates in the preparation for the periodic licensing inspections;
- Assists in development of annual strategic plan for the health issues in the clinical services department; actively participates in the total strategic plan implementation as directed by the Clinical Services Director;
- Responds to emergency situations;
- Acts as liaison with doctors and residents and care staff;
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the community safety program;
- Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and co-workers;
- Assists in other departments as needed;
- Schedules transportation for residents to appointments if resident is unable;
- Performs other related essential duties as required.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma, vocational/technical training preferred; Have at least one years of Supervisory experience, preferably in a geriatric setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
CERTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Serve Safe Certification
- Criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, as required by law
- Health evaluation to ensure ability to perform duties of the position and the absence of any communicable disease, including tuberculosis and CXR clearance.
