Department of Medicine: Dermatology has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Study Coordinator 1.
Incumbents perform routine scientific work, evaluating, selecting, and applying standardized scientific or procedures and techniques to assignments with clear, specific objectives; mainly statistical analysis of data on a cohort of Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) patients.? Incumbents also perform clinic logistical work, coordinating the patient’s interaction with the research. For training and development purposes, assignments may include some work that is typical of a higher level.?
Knowledge: Knows the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of cancer biology; continues development of technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application.?
Direction received: Reports directly to the research lab manager. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work. Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments.?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
