Job Description Summary
Collaborate and coordinate with veterinarians, schedules to provide anesthesia in dogs for routine cases, including IV catheter placement, induction, intubation, evaluation of anesthetic depth, medication administration, maintenance and recovery. Excellent organizational skills required and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Consult with clinical veterinary staff and laboratory personnel on treatment options for animals. Assist in setting up and performing behavioral studies for research animals to evaluate visual function. Provide on call assistance on weekends as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
An Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA Accredited school. Certified Veterinary Technician or eligible to sit for the VTNE within 1 year of hire. 2-3 years experience as a vet tech. Flexible schedule and ability to multi-task required. Position contingent upon grant funding.
