Summary:
The identification of novel technologies and approaches to further the basic understanding for the role of the oral microbiome in oral and systemic health. To achieve key program milestones, a cross disciplinary focus in Oral Microbiology, Oral Biology, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Microbiome Genetics, Microbiome Modulation, Microbial Pathogenesis, Biofilm Modeling, 3D Printing and Microfabrication is highly preferred.
Main responsibilities:
Develop laboratory-based dynamic models that characterize and clinically relate biofilm health state with oral health status
Required Qualifications:
PhD or Masters degree with experience in Microbial physiology, Microbiology, Host-pathogen interaction or Microbiome modulation, or Biomedical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD plus 0-5 years industry experience with knowledge in one or more of the following areas oral biofilms, microbial physiology, cell culture, biofilm model development, clinical research design, bioinformatics, in silico-based modeling, and biomedical engineering
