JOB SUMMARY
The Research Nurse 1 learns to assist various Principal Investigators (PIs), through delegated authority, with conducting clinical trials per federal, state and institutional guidelines, while learning the responsibilities during all phases of trials including pre-study implementation through study closure are included in the scope of this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Following will be job functionalities expected from this individual:
- Training nursing and other health care professional in the operation of point of care analyzer such as glucometer, iStat etc
- Helping health care provider with QA,QC and QM programs related to point of care testing.
- Maintaining SOP updates and implementing policy changes for CCH.
- Maintaining and ordering inventory related to POC testing.
- Maintaining temperature and environmental logs for POCT reagents storage at CCH
- Weekly or monthly review of QC and proficiency testing result.
- Work on clinical studies as needed, this will involve following clinical protocol, giving informed consents, performing phlebotomy, processing plasma, serum, body fluids and whole blood specimens.
- Interacting with clinical research associates or clinical trial coordinators from sponsors and maintaining study binders.
- Attending research and other administrative meetings and participating in workflow planning.

- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
