We are looking for driven, talented, and energetic entry level researchers to join our roofing team in conducting hands-on laboratory experiments for key development programs. As a Research Engineer, the candidate will research and develop new technologies to improve processes and products within our business. Phases of development include pilot, scale-up, and implementation of R&D processes into manufacturing. The candidate will take project objectives and transform them in to actionable tasks including research of technologies, design and execution of experimentation, analysis of results, and generation of IP and technical reports. This position will have a focus on research and development of asphalt and polymer modified asphalt in filled coating systems. Under the direction of the group leader, the candidate will also design, run experiments, produce lab scale samples, operate pilot equipment, and analyze the experimental outcomes. In addition to designing experiments for the candidate’s primary projects, the candidate will be expected to conduct experiments to support projects led by others.
