General Function:
The Repair Technician 1 position is responsible for repairing and cleaning product within company standards; assist team members with repairs when needed; assist with training of other technicians when needed; and assist engineers with repair documentation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Assist with the reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment
- Perform scripted test procedures to isolate failure to a sub-assembly and/or component level
- Successfully replace failed sub-assembly or part(s) to bring failed device to working order
- Perform scripted repair procedure to repair and functionally test part or product
- Troubleshooting and repair of failed product or parts in bench repair environment
- Assist Repair technicians/Engineers/Technical Services as required
- Assist in training other bench repair technicians on repair procedures
- Utilize Technical Services and/or Engineering as necessary for support to develop test and repair processes
- Maintain constant adherence to inventory control practices and procedures

Requirements
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- AS degree in Computer Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Appropriate Certification (A+ or better) and additional education preferred
- Prior experience working with retail store systems technology systems, and hardware preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic PC use.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair concepts for analog and digital circuits.
- Proficiency working with testing equipment including Digital Multi-meters.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting concepts of PC based and/or POS based computer hardware.
- Ability to isolate failures within and complete rework of electronic circuits.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform within company quality standards.
- Ability to complete pre-defined testing and repair procedures.
- Ability to learn and perform both through hole and surface mount soldering repairs required. Pre-existing soldering experience preferred
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to support a wide ranging variety of computer/electronic hardware.
- Comfortable working with live high power electronics.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to hire.
