Bush Veterinary Neurology Service is seeking a Relief Staff Veterinarian for our growing Imaging Department in Leesburg, Virginia!
We work closely with our referring primary care veterinarians and specialists to provide valuable diagnostic imaging and expertise that our cases need. We use a GE 1.5 T MRI and GE 64 Slice CT Scanner to achieve high quality multi-planar images. As a company, our mission is to advance the understanding of disease in companion animals through advanced imaging.
As a Staff Veterinarian….
You will make independent medical decisions, continually grow and learn as a veterinary professional, and will help our clients take the best possible care of their pets. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside a highly trained team, providing the best neurological and advanced imaging care possible.
A standard day may include providing the Doctor of Record (DOR) for internal and external scans, facilitating and running CT and MRI scans, and assisting our medical team in the care of patients undergoing advanced imaging procedures. This role is typically scheduled 1-2 days per week.
Additional responsibilities may include intake and discharge of patients, providing scanning and anesthetic support for advanced imaging patients, and applying sound anesthetic practices and protocols.
Qualifications for this role include:
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) • Virginia State License, in good standing

  • A sound understanding, or a strong desire to learn the fundamentals of anesthesia
  • Knowledge of advanced imaging and neurology is helpful, but not required
