Rehabilitation Technician

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Patient/Resident transportation to and from rehabilitation area
- Therapy set-up and breakdown
- Assisting therapists in providing a therapeutic and safe environment.
- Maintaining equipment and working area
- Working as a team in setting up and preparing for group activities/therapy
- Able to foster a positive and encouraging working environment for staff and patients/residents
- Performing clerical duties, filing, computer work, etc.
- Reports directly to assigned therapists and Director of Rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills, required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day.
- Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.
- Must be proficient with use of hands for repetitive grasping, pushing-pulling, and fine motor manipulation.
- Rehab Technician will spend approximately 60-80% of time bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while working with therapy patients
- Rehab Technician may spend approximately 60-80% of time standing/walking.
- Rehab Technician should be knowledgeable in and exercise good body mechanics during patient treatment.
