Scripps Memorial Hospital la Jolla has 444 licensed beds, offering a wide range of clinical, surgical, and specialty services, including a Level II Trauma Center and 24-hour emergency services. The Surgical Acute Unit (5 Prebys) is a 36 bed unit of primarily post neck to hip surgical patients who are ambulating. You will also work in our Med/Surg Unit (7 East) made up of 23 beds providing care for primarily Medical Cardiac patients, and currently a COVID unit. Working in between these two units, you will need to be adaptable and open to change on a daily basis. Bring your Medical-Surgical experience to Scripps and change lives, starting with yours. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. This includes patient care assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN will take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision. Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. This position is a 12 hour, full-time, night shift.
