Responsibilities:
Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is adding additional positions to its existing staff of Neuroscience ICU Registered Nurses. The Neuro ICU is a 14 bed unit and we are positioned one floor above the Neuroscience floor which allows for a comprehensive focused patient care pathways from admission to discharge. RN patient ratio is 1:2. Depending on the acuity of the patient, we also provide 1:1 care.

Community Regional Medical Center is seeking nurses like you for challenging work, 12 hour shifts.
We share responsibilities, and will provide opportunities for leadership, commensurate with your experience and skill set.

In this role you will work closely with the neuroscience team members including the Neuro Intensivist who provides 1:1 or group teaching. The population of Neuro ICU patients range from traumatic brain injury as a result of trauma to medical diagnoses such as stroke, epilepsy, intracranial aneurysm, brain tumors and other neurological disorders. Neuro ICU nurses as well as the Faculty provide comprehensive critical care, through evidence based practice to patients with both neurologic and neurosurgical injuries. Our Medical Team are highly trained and credentialed in a multitude of neurological procedures like placement of Extra Ventricular Drains, ICP Monitors and Lumbar Drains. Likewise our nurses are also highly competent and skilled to manage neurological patients.
With opportunity for growth in skills and educational training you can receive different certifications (i.e. ENLS, CCRN, CRRT, Trauma Core etc.…). Neuro ICU is a special, family oriented unit. The team is nurturing and supportive with lots of resources at your fingertips. Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include; Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program. Current RN license for the state of California, BLS and Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire or transfer into job. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Course must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.

Qualities and experience we are looking for:
Ability to work closely with neuroscience team members. Excellent communication & problem solving skills. Desire to work closely with skilled neurosurgeons, in all areas of this specialty, including trauma cases.
