Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (7 West)
UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center
Full-Time – Night Shift

7 West is a 30-bed acute medical/surgical unit consisting of all private rooms. The unit provides nursing care for a diverse patient population and performs a variety of procedures and care coordination for pulmonary, gastroenterology, and general medical/surgical patients. The most common diagnoses include pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cellulitis, deep vein thrombosis, sepsis, infectious disease, gastrointestinal disorders, stroke, and renal disease. Patients are admitted from all areas of the hospital, the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or directly from provider’s offices. Patients are assigned to 7 West by the Bed Flow Coordinator or Nursing Supervisor in conjunction with the 7 West Charge Nurse. All patients must be hemodynamically and neurologically stable.
