Aurora Mental Health Center (AuMHC) is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Saturdays are an option), with flexible hours based on client need. Preferred candidates have previous experience working with teens/adults with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. We offer a generous sign-on bonus and benefits. $4,000 Sign On Bonus Available! *Not eligible for internal and PRN candidates. Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary. The Ascent Program (First Episode Psychosis) is an evidence-based treatment modality which offers community-based support to youth and young adults for up to five years. We provide intensive wraparound mental health care to individuals aged 15-29 who are in the first 24 months of psychosis. Our program is guided by a shared decision-making approach which encompasses a multidisciplinary care team of psychiatrists, clinicians, case management, peer support, supported employment/education, and nursing. The Registered Nurse on the Ascent Team is responsible for delivering outstanding clinical/nursing care for persons living with a primary psychotic disorder, primarily schizophrenia. This role is very unique and offers autonomy, flexibility, and creative approaches to best meet the needs of clients and their families. Meeting with clients in their home environment sets a great foundation for rapport building, trusting relationships, and long-term recovery. All Ascent staff share the same caseload; we are highly collaborative and are in constant communication with one another to ensure staff support and client continuity of care. Requirements: AuMHC has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as well as receive an annual influenza (flu) shot prior to their first day of hire. Proof of both vaccinations we will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for either COVID 19 vaccine or annual flu shot.
