Registered Nurse, Dialysis
Fast growing company looking for Dialysis RN for our newest location.
Job Description:
The Dialysis Nurse supervises dialysis care following policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations. Works collaboratively with management staff and team members to provide exceptional care to patients.
Functions:
- Ensures staff compliance with Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance/Risk Management projects/objectives;
- Ensures Infection control and environment of care standards are met;
- Functions as information resource technicians, patients and nursing home staff
- Ensures safe and effective dialysis treatments are provided, medical documentation if followed.
- Ensures appropriate medical documentation procedures are followed.
- Provides customer service to patients, family and staff
- Educates patients, family and staff regarding renal disease, vascular access, dialysis therapy.
- Assess patients response to treatment, making appropriate adjustments to the treatment as prescribed
- Collaborates and communicates with team members to adjust and coordinate care provided to patient.
- Review lab results timely and report critical data to the physician.
- Complete patient assessments and care plans
- Maintain overall shift operation in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Administer medication as prescribed.
Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed.
JOB REQUIRed
Experience
- At least 3 years clinical dialysis nursing experience; and
- At least 1 year supervisory preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS :
- Valid State Nursing License required;
- CPR certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Able to sit and work at computer for extended periods of time;
- Walk, sit, lift no more than 50 pounds;
- Must be able to differentiate colors
