Job Summary:
The RN Day Care is responsible for the pre and post operative/procedure care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with a variety of health care needs and disease processes. Care includes technical skills, equipment, assessment, pre and post education and discharge in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
CA RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with passing score. Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
Minimum 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing in last 2 years.
Has excellent observation, good nursing judgment/critical thinking, and good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with multiple tasks in a team setting utilizing interpersonal, organizational, and prioritizing skills. Able to supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations. Minimum of one year experience in pre and post op diagnostic Cath lab preferred.
