Employment Type:Part timeShift:Description:Reporting to the Manager, Imaging Services, Radiology Administration, this position is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials and scintillation equipment in accordance with the policies of Saint Agnes Medical Center and the State of California Department of Radiologic Health. The incumbent must be able to provide quality patient care services and work independently without direct supervision. 1. Graduate of an accredited program of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required. 2. Valid certification with the State of California in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
3. Certification by The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
4. One year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required. Two or more years of experience within a clinical nuclear medicine department is preferred.
5. Venipuncture certification, specific training to reconstitute radioisotopes and effective oral and written communication is required.
6. Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers and demonstrate excellent customer service is required.
7. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
