Role Description & Details

Shawmut Services is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the role of Regional Operations Manager for a door-to-door canvassing program in Georgia. The Regional Operations Manager will be supervised by the State Operations Director and Shawmut leadership, and will work with our national operations team to manage the program's regional operations and human resources needs, including interviewing and hiring employees, processing new hires, managing physical office locations, and other duties as assigned.This Regional Operations Manager role is a full-time, salaried position that begins on August 1st, 2022, and ends on November 15th, 2022. She/he/they must be true self-starters, problem solvers, and able to effectively work with and manage a variety of different personalities. The Regional Operations Manager role requires demanding work hours on behalf of a principled, progressive cause. This is not a remote position, and you will be required to work in a physical office. Shawmut provides comprehensive job training for new hires and we strongly encourage potential applicants who have the qualified skills for the position to apply, regardless of prior campaign experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily and long-term regional operations of the program in Atlanta, GA
  • Work with the State Operations Director and national operations team to
  • implement robust human resources and operations processes for the program
  • Work with the national operations team to hire, process, and onboard all members of the staff in the region.
  • Manage payroll records in the region; and Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills, Experience or Qualifications

  • Strong management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse group of staff.
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule, often including seven-day weeks for
  • the duration of the program.
  • Working ability to navigate and use Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Campaign and/or advocacy experience is not necessary but preferred.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation
