THE POSITION
Regional Assistant Controller is responsible for many aspects of the monthly closing process and forecasting. Working closely with Regional Controller and Regional Vice President providing ad hoc analysis and reports. Oversee branch administrator providing training and support as needed for AR and AP functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Regional Controller preparing accurate branch income statements
- Assist with month end close meeting and branch financial reviews
- Perform journal entries for month end accruals and deferrals
- Reconciled branch inventory monthly
- Monitoring and assist with branch forecasts
- Participate in the annual budget preparation and presentations
- Provide training and support to Branch Administrators
- Perform daily AP duties, including creating POs and processing vendor bills
- Process customer billing and follow up with weekly collection activities
- Perform ad hoc report and analysis for Regional Controller and Regional Vice President
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CPA preferred
- Five years of full cycle accounting experience
- A high level of proficiency in Excel
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Communicate clearly orally and in writing - PREFERABLY IN SPANISH
- Work well with others; excellent interpersonal skills
- Lead effective meetings
- Business acumen and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to think strategically and provide business partnership to the Regional Vice President and Regional Controller
- Willingness to travel – up to 30%
