Regional Account Manager - Central Valley / Fresno

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for driving residential project sales, achieving and exceeding sales targets, developing the business case with each contractor and managing co-marketing programs. RAMs strategize with contractors to maximize their success with Ygrene by training them to sell their product with our financing.
The RAM represents the entire range of company financial services products and services to assigned partners in the residential market, though may focus on a specific solution or product set if focused in a partner vertical market. RAMs aide in the development of the Elite contractor base to help facilitate leads originated from direct-to-consumer model and ensure Ygrene’s quality standards via continuous oversight of contractor performance. RAMs who have received initial training on Ygrene’s Commercial products may refer Commercial projects to Ygrene Commercial Account Managers for incentives.

Regional Account Manager *(RAM) Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Activity – 70%
- Sell Ygrene residential financing programs to our designated channel partners – contractors.
- Work with Ygrene Commercial Account Managers to refer commercial projects.
- Value added phone calls that generates leads, onsite contractor visits.
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in designated partner accounts. Develop business case with partner to demonstrate how our program generates additional profits and/or top line revenue for that partner.
- Earn the right with the partner to be their financing option of first choice.
- Works directly with senior leadership, marketing and sales teams at each partner to ensure that they have the required information, sales tools and support.
- Ongoing training using role playing; Large/small groups, how to present program, what they can/can’t say
- Makes onsite visits as needed with contractors to ensure consumer protection and the understanding of our finance
- Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
- Create strong value proposition with contractors and create a strategy and goal with contractors. Understanding their business and how much is financed and how much is paid cash. Realizing the expectation of Ygrene’s component and how to maximize their business potential and what they could be losing if it isn’t financed
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis and secures information on competitive offerings being made to partners.
- Sell through partner organizations to property owners in coordination with partner sales resources.
- Responsible for securing sustained and effective co-marketing program including lead generation, lead capture, and financings. Focusing on what has been effective and what can be tried while working close with our Programs and Promotions Manager
- Coordinate the involvement of Ygrene personnel, including support, marketing, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations.
- Ensure compliance with partner agreements, proper messaging and document signings for the contractor code of conduct.
- Participate with our Government Affairs team by attending local city council meetings and calling on city council members as needed.
- Work with contractors to adopt and engage with Ygrene’s technology platform.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of Ygrene, remembering you are a guest at contractor locations and in property owners’ homes.
Pipeline Management – 20%
- Coordinate with the involvement of Ygrene personnel to ensure projects are moving smoothly and quickly through the application, NTP and funding process.
- Follow up with contractors and property owners when needed.
- Monitor and report on key sales metrics including number of projects in pipeline, average size, average time through process
Salesforce - 5%
- Utilize Salesforce platform and dashboard to drive sales and report activity
- Deliver monthly and quarterly reports and forecasts
Other Duties - 5%
- Perform special projects and research as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Regional Account Manager (RAM)* Skills* and Experience:
This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
- Experience in traditional consumer financing and alternative financing strategies such as P.A.C.E., leasing and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA’s) a plus.
- Mortgage and Real Estate Experience a plus.
- Experience working with distributors, system integrators, value added resellers and manufacturer’s representatives plus.
- Experience in the residential contractor, home improvement and energy efficiency market a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of channel management experience – business to business or in-home selling experience
- Home improvement background or Construction experience
- Self-starter; ability to take the initiative to identify the top partners in each finance category and win the right to be their preferred financing partner.
- Ability to train and support partner sales forces.
- Attention to detail and ability to actively monitor channel partner activity.
- Ability to identify new opportunities, product offerings, and refinements to process and effectively working with team members to develop these new initiatives while maintaining successful core partner sales efforts.
- Proficient in SalesForce.com to manage sales reporting systems and deliver monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Ability to attend offsite meetings, trade shows and other marketing events.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- This position operates from the RAM’s home office environment.
- Work environment is primarily out meeting with property owners and contractors with majority of time away from the home office in contractors' offices and property owner's homes.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, phone, photocopiers, scanners and calculator.
- This is a full-time position; evening and weekend hours may be required.
- Travel requirements will be local and will primarily involve travels to channel partner facilities, though some travel outside the district may be required.
