Description:
Responsible for assisting Employment Services with job-readiness training, including enrollment in occupational training programs, and making referrals based on client needs and interests to Texas Workforce Solutions. Responsible for independently facilitating trainings working with clients seeking employment by providing support for soft/hard skill training workshops/classes to ensure successful job placement and improvement of clients’ net income. Coordinate referrals with the Adult Education & Training department/vendors/community partners/employers. Maintain strong working relationship with other departments to help clients to achieve their goals.
Duties:
- Conduct outreach activities for The Alliance programs and workshops
- Assist in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to connect the target population to Alliance services
- Facilitate a client employment plan in sync with employment services
- Assist clients in enrolling in vocational training opportunities
- Explore suitable employment opportunities for vocational training clients
- Provide referrals to educational/vocational training programs as needed
- Provide referrals to employment services as needed
- Develop and work with training partners to connect clients to employment opportunities
- Direct clients to appropriate resources and assist with submitting relevant paperwork as needed
- Schedule, coordinate, document all vocational training participants’ training and related activities
- Assist Employment Program Manager to coordinate trainings with the Adult Education & Training department/vendors/community partners
- Enter client data into and maintain client database and prepare reports as needed
- Report on client progress and challenges at regular team meetings and ensure that other coaches are aware of opportunities
- Meet or exceed grant goal outcomes
- Ensure full compliance with company policy and/or, but not limited to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as related to job function
- Must consistently demonstrate the ability to independently produce positive business outcomes aligned with organizational strategic initiatives and goals
- Must perform the job in a safe and ethical manner and with a positive and respectful attitude towards Alliance staff and clients
- Be an advocate for the client and maintain client confidentiality
- Complete the timely completion of all reports required by Program Manager.
- Attend daily, weekly and monthly department’s meeting.
- Communicate all activities, program success and challenges with Program Manager.
- Before making any determination, consult with Program Manager.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned including airport pick up of newly arrived refugees
