Our services include primary care, behavioral health, dental, adolescent health, HIV and infectious disease testing and treatment, prenatal, and family planning. CCI Health & Wellness Services is also the largest provider of WIC services in the state of Maryland.

We are seeking a Referral Specialist who will assist in providing patient centered, coordinated pa care by being responsible for processing referrals for patients who seek medical treatment outside of CCI Health & Wellness Services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process all managed care referral paperwork.
• Schedule appointments for specialists when needed.
• Contact outside offices and facilities to obtain information to accurately complete referral requests.
• Maintain referral records and file documentation.
• Assist with check-out and follow up appointments.
• Process insurance referral pre-authorization
• Assist patients in filling out applications for specialty programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma. AA or BS degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in a medical setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person or over the phone.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Computer skills required.
• Superior customer service skills required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
