JOB LOCATION: HARRISONBURG, VA JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: RECRUITING MANAGER DEPT: HUMAN RESOURCES REPORTS TO: VP of HUMAN RESOURCES SUPERVISES: RECRUITING TEAM MEMBERS FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt TYPE: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY: The Recruiting Manager is responsible for efficient, compliant, and effective full cycle recruitment nationally for Shenandoah Growers, Inc. (“SGI” and “the Company”). The Recruiting Manager is also responsible for ensuring the Company has access to the widest possible pool of candidates, that selection focus remains on the best qualified hires, and that staffing activities are executed in a manner consistent with SGI’s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Core Values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBIITIES: REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, demonstrated success in recruiting front-line production workers to executive-level positions. Experience managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent searches/recruiting activities in a very fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience with ATS, social media recruiting platforms and practices, recruitment metrics, and related reporting required. Prior experience recruiting in food production/manufacturing or CPG preferred but not required. Language Fluency: English fluency reading, writing, spoken, and understood required; bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency is strongly preferred. Technology: MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and strong keyboarding skillsets required. Licensure: Valid driver’s licensure strongly preferred but not required. Credentials: TA or HR certification desired but not required. REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Locomotion: Ability to move about between various environments and on different surfaces sufficiently to perform job duties and responsibilities. Muscle Strength & Flexibility: Ability to bend, reach, stoop, squat, pivot, turn, balance, walk, push, pull, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Sustained Fast Pace: Ability to perform duties, responsibilities and assigned tasks with maximum efficiency while working at a very fast sustained pace without reduction in accuracy and quality. COGNITIVE/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Learning: Ability to understand and follow directions and learn new skills. Near Vision: Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Speech Recognition: Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person. Oral Comprehension: Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Oral Expression: Ability to communicate information and ideas speaking so others will understand. Problem Sensitivity: Ability to discern when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and knowing when to act. Emergency Response: Ability to understand, respond quickly, and move appropriately according to workplace safety protocols. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Temperature: Generally, performs work in an office environment within a standard office temperature range. Noise: Moderate – generally, between 80-90 decibels or below. Fumes, Gases, Dust: Minimal. REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMET (PPE) USED: Workplace Safety: Non-slip shoes when in production areas. Food Safety: Nitrile gloves, hair, and facial hairnets when in production areas.
