Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports. Ensures that all deliveries are to Hotel specifications, in accordance with Food & Beverage receiving sheets, purchase orders, storing, handling and issuing of stock. Checks each item on the invoice against the applicable hotel document, weighing, counting, verifying prices on each item and checking these against specifications to verify accuracy of delivery.
Notifies person responsible for ordering merchandise when shipment arrives or if the shipment fails to arrive so that any discrepancies can be resolved. Signs, dates and time stamps all invoices on the respective receiving sheet, ensuring items are correctly identified.
Enters all non-edible merchandise on a receiving record, noting purchase order number, shortages and all other required information so all merchandise is accounted for.
Properly stores, rotates and dates all stock so that all items are fresh; involves transportation of heavy goods.
Keeps refrigerators, freezers and storeroom organized.
Fills requisitions to authorized outlets so all stock will be complete at each outlet and advises supervisor of items that are low or out of stock so that they can be reordered.
Assists in conducting bi-weekly and month-end inventories.
Monitors and documents cooler and freezer temperatures to avoid spoilage.
Involved in some ordering of products.
Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning up unexpected spills, or executing special guest requests.

Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. Goods must be moved one or more items at a time, depending on size and weight, at a continuous schedule.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull materials weighing up to 300 pounds.
Tasks
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Knowledge
Education and Training- Knowledge of the appropriate stock levels for any given item kept in inventory and the amount of time the item will be fresh. Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes. Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Grade school education preferred. Prior inventory experience strongly preferred. Food & Beverage experience also strongly preferred.
