Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for Part-time, Weekend Option Sat/Sun 12 hr shifts, 24 hrs week Radiology Tech. Competitive salary and excellent benefits package available.
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates and performs diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians for patients in the following age groups: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Knowledge of radiographic examinations as well as procedures that require use of contrast agents.
2.Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety.
3.Knowledge of patient transfers and positioning techniques.
4.Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)".
5.Open, accurate, and responsive communication; oral or written; on an individual basis or in groups.
6.Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
7.Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct.
8.Available for emergency call coverage.
9.Promotes and participates in process improvement activities.

12.Must attend all mandatory in services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE:
1.Graduation from a JRCERT approved radiography program.
2.American Registry of Radiological Technologists registered, or registry eligible.
3.Kentucky State Radiation Operators License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1.Capability to be independently mobile
2.Ability to manage physically aggressive patients
3.Ability to transport patients
4.Ability to move the portable X-ray equipment to examination sites
5.Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance; reach, stoop, and bend while maintaining good mechanical body position
6.Ability to wear protective lead aprons and gloves during examinations
7.Ability to perform tasks for a long period of time
8.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate radiographic equipment
9.Hearing and visual acuity sufficient to perform examinations, observe patients, read monitors and documents, hear equipment alarms
10.Ability to work within a limited space and in bright and low-lighted examination rooms
11.Ability to travel locally and elsewhere (including overnight stays) to attend seminars, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in an adequately climate controlled, indoor environment.
